Jonathan B. Smith

Jonathan B. Smith is an entrepreneur, High Growth Business Strategist, and Certified Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) Implementer. He is the Co-founder of Optimize for Growth (O4G) and former COO of an Inc. 500 company. Jonathan is an expert in working with entrepreneurs who are “stuck” and need help in scaling, getting market traction, or resolving global operation problems. A Track Record of Growth

Jonathan started his career on Wall Street at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. While at JP Morgan, he was tapped to develop a Performance Dashboard for the company. By the time he was 27, Jonathan left the world of finance to become an entrepreneur. His first endeavor into the entrepreneur space was to create a “paid for click” advertising company. Jonathan became an early adopter of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which led him to be known as “ChiefOptimizer.”  As a result of his success in this field, he consulted for Google on helping them solve SEO issues around Google AdWords™.

His next venture led him to become the Chief Operations Officer for Wave Dispersion Technologies. Leveraging his expertise from his first endeavor, Jonathan helped grow Wave Dispersion Technologies from $500,000 to $15 million in revenues over the course of 5 years. This resulted in the company being ranked number 203 on the 2007 Inc. 500 list. As COO, he also developed business relationships around the globe and oversaw operations in the Middle East.

A Passion for Entrepreneurship

Jonathan’s interests have always focused on promoting entrepreneurship around the world, mentoring other entrepreneurs, as well as lending his expertise to non-profit organizations. He has served as an Ambassador for Entrepreneurship for the U.S. Department of State. He currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of Wave Dispersion Technologies, Inc. and is a former Advisory Board Member of RideScout, sold to a subsidiary of Daimler in September 2014. He is also an Outreach Volunteer for Leader Dogs for the Blind. Jonathan also received the National Man of the Year Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for raising the most funds in his community.

Jonathan is an alumnus of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and Inc. Business Owners Council, a disciple of The Strategic Coach — Dan Sullivan. He graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA from the College of Social Studies (CSS), a multidisciplinary major focusing on History, Government, Political and Social Theory, and Economics, earned a MS in Professional Accounting from the University of Hartford and has a Certificate in Homeland Security Studies from Michigan State University.

Mark O’Donnell is an entrepreneur, high growth strategist, and Certified EOS® Implementer.

Mark has been involved in start-ups since he started his first business with his brother, Tommy O’Donnell, in 2007. He grew that business from just the 2 of them to over 250 people and $25,000,000 in revenues, putting them on the Inc. 500|5000 list 5 years in a row from 2012 to 2016. During that time, Mark and Tommy successfully completed multiple M&A transactions creating a partnership that manages 10+ portfolio businesses.

Mark’s passion is putting into motion innovative ideas with concrete strategies and plans, quickly removing obstacles and barriers, influencing and inspiring human achievement through the creation of goals in order to create action and forward movement to start working towards a bigger and better future. Tommy O'Donnell

Chief Adventure Officer, Crazy Ventures, Professional EOS Implementer

I started my entrepreneurial journey with my brother in 2007. We grew from 2 to 200 plus employees and multiple partners. The fast growth came with tons of complexity and stress. After reading all kinds of business books I came across Traction by Gino Wickman. I loved the simplicity of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and decided to give it a try. We successfully implemented EOS into our businesses, which brought the structure we needed to go to the next level, allowing me to get out of the day to day and focus on my passion to help entrepreneurs achieve freedom in their own business. I am now a Professional Dallas EOS Implementer.

Ben Berman

Benjamin (Ben) Berman is a serial entrepreneur, EOS implementer, and Certified ProcessTriage™ Expert.

 

Ben launched his first business in 2008. He quickly grew it to scale and sold it just one year later. He next became the VP of Growth at an early-stage company, helping take the team from five people and $300,000 in annual revenue to 21 people and $3.3+ million in just three years. The company, which continues to grow using the processes and best practices Ben instituted, currently has over 60 employees and over $12 million in annual revenue. After setting that company on the right path, Benjamin accepted a role as COO of a fine art licensing company. In this position, Ben not only helped define a clear, actionable vision, but optimized key processes and improved team health so they could gain traction and execute on it. With his operational leadership and insights, the company consecutively beat year-over-year revenue and profit records.

In examining his success, Benjamin identifies two core themes: Traction and Process. Combining traction, the ability for teams to consistently sprint toward their clearly defined vision, and process, the force multiplier that makes a team’s effort repeatable and expandable, is the secret sauce behind Ben’s successful ventures. He has observed, and firmly believes, that when these key elements are missing or imperfect, businesses and teams sputter.
