The process to scale your business is a journey, usually a long hard journey.
I started my entrepreneurial journey with my brother in 2007. We grew from 2 to 200 plus employees and multiple partners. The fast growth came with tons of complexity and stress. After reading all kinds of business books, attending many conferences and events, I came across Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business by Gino Wickman.
I loved the simplicity of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and decided to give it a try. We successfully implemented EOS into our businesses, which brought the structure we needed to go to the next level, allowing me to get out of the day to day and focus on my passion to help entrepreneurs achieve freedom in their own business.
Keys to Success along the way
I’ve outlined the primary mindsets (The 4Cs Formula is a great book written by Dan Sullivan of Strategic Coach) needed at different levels of the journey. The revenue range is just an example of what I’ve done in my business.
$0 to $1 million – Commitment, Burn the Boats, You don’t know how but you will make it work.
$1 to $5 million – Courage, Have the courage to play with the big boys. Don’t be afraid to be the dumbest person in the room.
$5 to $10 million – Capability, Never stop learning!
$10 to $30 million – Confidence, you have the confidence to commit to another bigger better goal.
