Chief Science Officer for TriVita, Brazos Minshew
created the Optima line of products to help support the needs of active individuals,
especially golfers. Specifically designed to hydrate the body, Optima4 helps bring
about a calming effect and provides improved focus, energy and enhanced fine motor
control. OptimaFlex fully nourishes the joints and helps reduce pain and inflammation
that are the direct result of intense exercise, overuse of muscles and arthritis.
“As we age, we need to stay active to remain healthy, and all of us at TriVita
fully recognize this need. Our full line of Optima products were created to help
everyone live life to the fullest."
Q: What is the best way to take OptimaFlex?
A: OptimaFlex is a lemon-flavored powder blend of key nutrients, vitamins, minerals
and plant extracts. Just simply add one packet or one scoop to a glass of water
or juice, and stir until fully mixed. It’s ready to drink as soon as the powder
is dissolved. You can even add OptimaFlex to Optima4 for optimum results!
Q: Are these products safe to use with my other daily medications?
A: Always have your pharmacist compare your current medications with the ingredients
in Optima4 and OptimaFlex. New information concerning drug-nutrient interactions
is released daily. Your pharmacist is in the best position to receive these updates.
As far as we know, the only medication that negatively interacts with either Optima4
or OptimaFlex is warfarin, a potent blood-thinner. Pregnant woman and nursing mothers
should always review with their health care provider prior to use as should children
under 10.
Q: Do these products affect my blood-sugar levels in any way? Is
there any caffeine in these products?
A: There is no added caffeine in either Optima4 or OptimaFlex. However, both products
contain carbohydrate-rich sweeteners, including fructose. Please see the label for
total carbohydrates and plan your meals and snacks accordingly.
Q: How much OptimaFlex should I take in one day?
A: We recommend taking one powder packet daily, or if you are in need of added flexibility,
you can safely take up to six packets a day.
Q: How long does it take to feel the effects of OptimaFlex?
A: OptimaFlex contains three highly-effective nutrients that work over different
periods of time. Pain-relieving nutrients that work almost immediately after drinking
the product; anti-inflammatory nutrients that work over several days to several
weeks; and lubricating nutrients that require about eight weeks to reach their peak
level. The combination of these active nutrients will sustain joint health and will
work continually for many months and years depending on your overall health.
Q: When is the best time of the day to take OptimaFlex?
A: OptimaFlex provides the best results if taken in the morning. However, if you
plan on taking part in an activity later in the day, you may wish to take OptimaFlex
right before you start. You can also take it in the morning and then a second serving
as needed before your sport or activity.
Q: Is this a vegetarian or vegan product?
A: OptimaFlex is not a vegetarian or vegan product. It contains chicken collagen,
which has been studied exclusively for its anti-inflammatory properties and ability
to nourish joints, tendons and ligaments.
Q: Will these products provide me with more flexibility?
A: OptimaFlex contains botanicals known for their anti-inflammatory effect as well
as enzymes that promote mobility and reduce recovery following the strain, wear
and tear of professional sports. OptimaFlex also contains ingredients typically
found in "joint hydration" formulas for better range of motion over time.
Q: If I suffer an injury and feel discomfort or pain, will OptimaFlex
help me feel better?
A: OptimaFlex contains Bromelain which helps reduce bruising, pain and speeds up
healing time. The formula also offers a numerous other helpful ingredients like
Boswellia, Devil’s Claw, Cat’s Claw and Curcumin. These active ingredients
may offer anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects if you take them when you are
experiencing some pain. For more serious issues, we recommend you make an appointment
to see your personal physician for assessment and treatment.
